
People leave their jobs for all sorts of reasons. “Winning the lottery” is a reason. “Getting caught banging an intern” is another. If you’re one of 2,000 newly unemployed workers at Diageo, “Drastic Dave wants a bonus” may be a reason, too. But rarely does somebody leave a job for no reason at all. Why did Boston Beer Company’s chief financial officer Diego Reynoso leave his post earlier this week? According to the troubled Truly trafficker, his departure:
is not related to any disagreement with the company on any matter relating to its operations, policies, or practices.
Nothing to see here, shareholders! Maybe not. But what gives? As the sharps at Brewbound noted, that Reynoso said no mo’ just six days after his bonus stock vested. Sounds like reason enough to me.
