Their "appeals" proccess is bullshit. My wife was fired for discrimination when there was absolutely NO proof of it. She was told that she can't have the opportunity to appeal. I'm usually against unions (depending on the industry involved), but amazon has a history of fire for tue sake of firing regardless of reason or no reason. Also, they make enough money that they can afford to pay their people more.

I'm sorry to hear about your wife's firing! That sucks. I'm curious to hear whether your opinions about unions have shifted given your wife's experience with Amazon. Well also I'm curious to hear what your opinions are about unions in general, I guess. Either way, thanks for the comment!

I'm not a dem or repub. I AM a Constitutionalist. I support unions depending on the industry. I believe in the free market, but hate it's down side of greed. Especially corporate greed, and corporate welfare. I believe that ceo's should not be able to make more than a certain % more than their lowest pa if employee. That way if they make more money, then the people that make it for them also make more money. There's no limit to either as far a success. Unions can be good like they were in their beggings, but many have become political slush funds for politicians that really don't care about the worker. If amazon had a union, it wouldn't be able to run over its workers and situations like my wife's would've never happened. Amazon has become too BIG and there are many sites that tell of it's wrongful treatment and hiring/firing practices. Depending on the industry, some unions have become bloated and just a greedy as the companies themselves. My family history is ripe with union members from the welding and pipe fitting industry, and I support them. amazon does the shit it does because they know they can get away with it. A union would put a stop to it.
