With the beer business in a state of multi-year decline, brewers and beer distributors have turned to non-alcoholic beverages infused with hemp-derived tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) to make up lost volume and revenue in states where it’s legal. In the absence of an updated federal farm bill clarifying whether Uncle Sam is down with Delta-9,1 “where it’s legal” is very much a moving target, as state-level lawmakers across the country scramble to rein in their highly lucrative, federally unregulated THC markets.
